Which classes should I take next semester?
Why, the best ones, of course!
Where do you get your data?
Our data is publicly available Teacher-Course Evaluation data from the
University of Arizona.
How do you determine a "best" or "hardest" professor or course?
We use different criteria for each case:
- Best teacher is determined by the results of the question,
"how does this instructor compare to others you have had?" (and its
variations).
- Best course is determined by the results of the question,
"what is your overall rating of this course?" (and its
variations).
- Difficulty is determined by a weighted average of the
questions, "what is the overall difficulty of this course?" (65%) and,
"how much time on average do you spend on this course outside of class
per week?" (35%).
Note: when sorting, we only display results from undergraduate courses.
